Apprenticeships at Southeast Training Centre

Studying Apprenticeships in STC

If you have seen the BBC television show, The Apprentice, you will know the kind of hard work, and rewards, that are involved with being an Apprentice.

Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to continue your studies, gain qualifications and put that theory into practice as you gain real experience in the workplace, whilst earning a regular income.

Why should I take an Apprenticeship?

·         Apprenticeships are a fantastic way of learning on the job
Whilst taking an Apprenticeship, you will be working for a real company in a real job. You will gain the skills, knowledge and experience of your chosen industry. You will also work towards an NVQ QCF (formerly known as an NVQ) as well as other nationally recognised qualifications

·          You can ‘earn while you learn’
Wages will vary depending on the type of Apprenticeship you are taking, however you will earn no less than £2.50 an hour.

·         Flexible training
As an employee you will be in employment for most of your time as most training takes place on the job. The rest usually takes place at a local college such as Southeast Training Centre – usually once a week.
